Twenty-Seven Witches Burn At The Stake In Essex, England

 July 31, 1703

News in a flash—Essex, England witnessed the biggest number of witches burned at the stake in a single execution. Twenty-seven witches were all tried and proven guilty of witchery after each of them matched almost half of the description of a witch. Witches are weird-looking, poor old women with facial or physical peculiarities such as having a long and crooked nose, funny teeth, an extra nipple or just perceptibly foul in general—but most of all, being in possession of a cat. Witches are known to have been trying to enchant lawmakers to repeal any kind of law against witchcraft in their quest to live unthreatened. If successful, the lives of common citizens will be in daily and invariable peril for worse exponentially.
