News in a flash—Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone, was still too young to invent anything but already showed so much promise at 2-years old. His mother, reportedly saw him simulating the telephone by dialing on a shoe with his tiny fingers right before he rested it on his left ear, then gibbered the word: "Hello." The act mimicked what was later famously known as the "telephone" which he invented as a grown man.
