Asteroid That Dared Planet Earth In "Game Of Chicken" Swerved Last Minute

 April 21, 2009

Planet Earth outbluffed latest asteroid, Asteroid 2009-G52A, when the fiery extraterrestrial rock swerved away from the gutsy blue planet's course on the very last minute. The asteroid dared to play the "Game of Chicken" against Earth, but ended up heavily embarrassed in the presence of many cosmic entities in space, sources said. NASA scientists were able to witness the spectacle from its observatory location in Arizona. "Both heavenly bodies really looked keen on smashing into each other and it looked like neither was going to swerve," Astronomer, Justin Kumathrupal said. "I'm so proud that Earth held its ground. We didn't slow down or hesitate, let alone swerve last minute like that asteroid," the four-eyed sky-gazer reveled. The asteroid which was estimated by NASA to be one and a half the size of a football stadium, looked pretty determined to crash head on to us, according to NASA's website. Earth on the other hand, did not cower on the challenge and manned up just like how its inhabitants would always do in similar situations. "The asteroid looked strong, but that was all up until it realized that Earth wasn't messing around. It swerved last minute like a real "sissy" and whizzed away north east, never to be found again," NASA stated.
