The First Working Time Machine Introduced

 July 15, 1929

News in a flash—French Physicist, Jacques St. Preaux, introduced a wily invention he called "The Fast Forward Box." Many have coined it the time machine, except this prototype is initially limited because it could only travel to the future. The box was made of wood and light plastic material the size of a walk-in closet and allows anyone who enters it to come out to the future at any desired future time. St. Preaux explained that if you enter the box, say, 2:05 pm, and would like to travel 4 hours to the future, you would only need to stay in the box for 4 hours and when you come out from it, it would be 6:05 pm. The Fast Forward Box—although had its moments of promise—was coldly received by the public, but the idea did inspire countless of scientists to star in time travel movies.
