Julius Caesar Invented The Caesar Salad

News in a flash—Julius Caesar invented the Caesar Salad. Health and figure conscious in his advanced age, Julius Caesar wanted a healthy go-to meal, but didn't find any of the dishes in the Roman Empire healthy enough for him. He decided to concoct his own dish with his own recipe with the following ingredients: Chopped Romaine Lettuce, Parmesan cheese, ground black pepper, cucumber, tomatoes, and extra virgin olive oil. An ecstatic and proud Julius Caesar thought long and hard of what to name his invention until he was able to whittle down his list to three: The Julius Salad, Caesar Salad, and the Julius Caesar Salad. He went for Caesar Salad.
