News in a flash—Thomas Edison was in tip-top shape for inventing the light bulb and could have very well invented it way earlier. Yet, it took another decade when any day in 1869 was just as good as any for inventing a light bulb. This was because he was trying to learn more about it and patiently waited for the right time to cut into the picture and take credit for somebody else's idea.
