Homosexuality In Mosquitoes Discovered

 August 17, 1989

News in a flash—A deviation in the sexual orientation of mosquitoes was discovered in a research at the University of Hamburg. A group of mosquitoes were studied and 3.4% of the male ones were discovered to be gay. This was confirmed when a subject of suspected male mosquitoes were isolated and found sucking blood from mammals. Only females were known to feed on blood, therefore Insectologists believe that these male mosquitoes consider themselves as females trapped in a male's body, so they act and try to look like females. The study also revealed that a lot of these male mosquitoes are tired of hiding, waiting in the closet and wishing to venture out at night as their female counterparts do. The world of insect science gathered mixed reactions ranging from unconditional acceptance to judgmental views to just pure bigotry.
