Nerd IT Guy Successfully Stayed Outdoors For 14 Days Without Computers

 August 14, 2009

News in a flash—Twenty-year-old IT nerd Kyle Bostwick, achieved what no real IT nerd in every corner on Earth could—by staying outdoors for 14 straight days without computers and internet. Kyle whose main interest is Object Oriented Programming and was also lately a know-it-all in every bit there is with web technologies and network security, went camping with his uncle together with his cousins out in the woods of Montana, USA. A 500-pound grizzly bear attacked their camping site at night, mauling and killing his uncle and one of his cousins. Kyle and 2 of his remaining cousins fled for their lives, leaving all of their resources behind. Although Kyle couldn't help talking about the latest motherboard technology at one innocent moment, they have gone lost and shocked for the next 14 days, surviving only with wild berries and a rabbit that took them 6 hours to butcher and cook just before they were found by rescuers. The very near nonexistence of computers and internet in Kyle's life for 2 weeks, should remain one of the greatest stories of struggle and survival in IT nerd history for a while.
